Here is a bold and simple, yet true, statement: you cannot be in fellowship with Christ if you are out of fellowship with others. As much as we would like to protest, God will not endorse any presumption of being in harmony with Him if we are knowingly in broken harmony with others of His children. Division comes in many potential forms, and this message highlights one of the most visible forms of division: racial and cultural divides. What does God’s Word say about unity across cultural differences? Is segregation acceptable? Can we just live on separate sides of the streets? This message calls all believers to not only acknowledge verbally that we are one in christ, but to practically and proactively live in that theological reality.
